Emo Hairstyles for Boys

Heartbreak, loss, or a love unrequited is a typical emo song which calls to most guys whom are drawn to it. Hair cuts that are bold, easy to style, or making a statement just like the music they love to listen to.

When emo first came about it was said that it was just an easy way or excuse for men to look like women. But now a day that’s so not true. Men have carved their own way in this emo world taking their looks to the point that even women are starting to copy. Taking it short or medium length, spiking it, and coloring it not just in one spot but anywhere they feel needs that bit of color. Cuts usually are anywhere between several layers, to razor cut meaning just taking a razor and hacking professionally at the hair.

Typically hair is a bit shaggy, with bangs left long and combed over or back. Then died any color the client wishes with the added bonus of a secondary color or patch if they are feeling adventurous.

There are many famous people who have led the way in this look for guys. Known for their song ‘Welcome To The Black Parade,’ Gerard Way, Ray Toro, Frank Iero, Mikey Way, and Bob Bryar, from My Chemical Romance always keep the styles of their hair changing and yet they always look good. Another person who loves this style but wasn’t discovered for his music but for his sport skill and crazy hair is Denis Rodman. Now it’s true his looks are above and almost beyond crazy but they too can be called emo, by some, for its expressions of creativity.
