Emo Hairstyles for Girls

Girls are under enough pressure from school and the media to dress perfect, be perfect, and to absolutely not be different in any way; which is sometimes what draws girls to emo, because emo is far from normal or anything you’d see just opening a normal magazine. It’s bold, interesting, and the amount of styles, cuts, colors, etc. is limitless.

Although typically hair was straightened and died black like most everything things change and one such thing is the dying of the hair to black. Now it’s true hair can be just done black but over the years even that stereotype has been shattered by beautiful blonde, red, and other various colors of full body hair dying.

Avril Lavigne is one such girl who has taken the music industry by storm with her emo inspired music and styles. Usually sporting long hair to the middle of her back she hasn’t let that stop her from expressing who she is. She’s died is blond, black, and a various amount of other colors all while looking sporty and punk yet still girlishly cute.

Alecia Beth Moore is another or as we all know her, Pink! Although her music isn’t typically consider emo her hairstyles are right up there with the best of them. Short black cut into thousands of different layers to bright pink, to blonde and spiky.

Television is also another place that you can find emo. Actresses are always changing their looks and styles but one such woman I’ve found hasn’t been afraid to embrace the emo look for a part is Kirsten Vangsness. Normally sporting shoulder length blonde hair has rose to the emo look Garcia, the character she plays in Criminal Minds, tends to keep. Styled in hundreds of ways, sporting flowers, headbands, or other things to show off her style, and streaked with pink, blue, or a varied of other colors is her typical look but it also show that even smart you can still be creative with your hair.
